Les Traub

Les is a co-founder and current president of Cabaret West, an organization of nearly 500 members, patterned after MAC in New York and formed to promote cabaret as an art form on the West Coast. He has produced several sold-out cabaret concerts at the Jazz Bakery in Los Angeles. He hosts and produces the annual Cabaret West music fest at the Cinegrill in Hollywood. Les has covered cabaret in Los Angeles for Cab Magazine, Cabaret Hotline and has written a monthly column as well as periodic reviews and interviews for Cabaret Scenes since its inception in 1995. He has spoken at the Cabaret Symposium at the Eugene O'Neill Center in Connecticut for the last two years. After 12 years with Capitol Records in marketing and finance, he is now the California Regional finance manager of a major international financial institution that specializes in the Entertainment industry. For the past two years, he has been a Board member of Society of Singers and also serves on its Finance Committee.
